Human Applications

A variety of parameters can easily be recorded from ambulatory humans from 24 hours to multiple weeks.
For heart rate variability studies, Actiwave, ActiwaveCardio will record raw ECG for 24 hours with a compact amplifier-recorder. Actiheart 4 will record R-R intervals for up to 4 days; the system includes heart rate variability analysis.

Energy expenditure and caloric output can be measured using Actical for up to 45 days or Actiheart for up to 21 days.
Sleep quality if monitored using Actiwatch actigraphs, accelerometer based monitors.

Core temperature, surface temperature and heart rate can be recorded at 15 second intervals with the Vital Sense system for a maximum of 24 hours.

Actiwave amplifier/data loggers provide an excellent solution for ambulatory monitoring of ECG, EEG and EMG signals.

The new Equivital wireless telemetry and datalogging system will record activity, temperature, heart rate, respiration, core and surface temperature. Data can be monitored remotely and alarms can be activated.

The Pro-Diary allows electronic input from subjects. Replacing  paper records or a PDA, the Pro Diary will prompt users for feedback at fixed and random intervals. Multiple questions can be programmed for each prompt and conditionnal branching questions are also possible. Results are exported to a spreadsheet or database.
